Around 85% students vaccinated in Bicholim

Around 85% of the students in the age group 15-18 years were vaccinated in Bicholim, stated Dr Shekar Salkar, member of the expert committee on Covid.

The students from Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School were vaccinated in the presence of Goa Assembly Speaker Rajesh Patnekar and health officer Dr Medha Salkar, chairman of the Higher Secondary Vijay Sardesai, principal and other members of Vidyavardhak Mandal at Bicholim.

A total of 1,068 persons were vaccinated including 866 students (male 441, female 425) from Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School and 174 students (104 male, 70 female) from Shri Shantadurga High School. From the GHS market in Bicholim, a total of 22 persons were vaccinated too. A total of 53 vials were used.

There were no AEFI, and not a single person rejected or refused to take the jab. With this, around 85% of the students in the age group 15-18 were vaccinated in Bicholim, stated Dr Shekar Salkar, member of the expert committee on Covid.
