In a third violation of TCP Act in Canacona taluka, the Canacona Dy Town Planner’s office filed a complaint with Canacona police regarding illegal land-filling activity carried out over nine months ago at Talpona-Poinguinim.
According to Canacona police, Dy. Town Planner office (TCP Dept) Grade-II officer Sarino Fernandes stated that on prior to March 27, an accused person, Deu Metri of Talpona-Poinguinim carried out illegal land filling at Poinguinim, without obtaining prior permission from the Chief town Planner.
Canacona police accordingly registered a case under Section 17A of TCP Act 1974 and further investigation is carried out by ASI Anand Naik of Canacona PS.
Previously, the Canacona Dy Town Planner office had registered two separate complaints, one against a resident of Agonda for illegal land filling and also against three members of a family in Loliem-Polem for illegal hill cutting without obtaining permissions.
