Reacting to the reports of dusk-to-dawn parties happening in the coastal belt causing sound pollution, DGP Jaspal Singh said that from preliminary investigation it has come to light that these were indoor parties and not outdoor ones.
When questioned by The Goan on the issue, Singh said that under the noise pollution rules, the ambient air quality should not be affected.
“Since these were indoor parties, arrangements are made to ensure that the ambient air quality is not affected,” Singh stated, but added in the same tone that if any such outdoor parties are held, the police will conduct the needed investigations.
