A 20-year-old labourer Pramod Ramu, a native of Uttar Pradesh but residing at Old Goa, was killed in a mishap at a scrap processing plant in Dhauji, Old Goa.
According to information with Old Goa police, the incident occurred on Monday morning when Ramu accidentally fell on the blade of the machine, which was used to cut the plastic into pieces.
“Upon his fall on the blade, Ramu got a deep cut on his lower portion of the body. He was shifted to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries,” the police informed.
The police further stated that the body has been preserved in the morgue and the post mortem will be conducted on Tuesday morning which will throw light on the cause of death.
PSI Sarvesh Bhandari is conducting further investigations into the incident under the supervision of Old Goa PI Raghoba Kamat.
