11, including 2 kids, injured in Corlim mishap

Eleven persons, including two children, were injured in an accident involving a passenger bus and a truck near Deccan Fine Chemicals, Corlim on Saturday 

evening   

According to sources, the passenger bus was traveling from Panaji towards Banastarim. 

“Upon reaching Corlim near Deccan, the front axle of the bus broke resulting in the driver losing control of the vehicle,” the source informed adding that the bus then ran over the divider and ran into an oncoming truck, proceeding towards Old Goa, before finally falling on

 its side.   Eye witnesses further informed that eleven passengers from the bus, including two children and the driver, were injured in the accident and they were shifted to GMC where they underwent treatment before being

 discharged.   

Old Goa police is conducting further investigations in the mishap.
