CANACONA
Two riders were seriously injured when their vehicles collided with each other near Char Rasta in Canacona on Monday morning.
According to sources, a motorcycle (GA-10 D-0289) was proceeding from Palolem towards Chaudi, while a scooter (GA-10 D-2617) was in the oncoming direction, when both two-wheelers collided on reaching the temporary Canacona Municipal Council office (previous Dhillon Hospital).
One of the riders, who was identified as Mohanlal, and Lingu alias Mahesh Gaonkar were both taken to the Canacona Community Health Centre. They were later shifted to the South Goa District Hospital at Margao.
