A 22-year-old youth has been arrested under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act on Saturday for allegedly molesting a minor girl in town.
The case was registered following a complaint filed by the father of the 11-year-old girl child.
According to police, the accused allegedly dragged the girl out while she was bathing and misbehaved with her.
An offense under Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act and Section 8, 12 of POCSO Act has been registered against the alleged accused. Mapusa Police is investigating further.
