Three kiosks were gutted in an early morning fire near the fish market in Mapusa on Monday.
Property worth Rs 5 lakh was lost in the fire incident, while Rs 5 lakh property was saved by the fire personnel.
Mapusa fire tender rushed to the site after the office received a call at around 1 am in the morning.
Two water tankers were used to douse the flames and the fire was put off within an hour, fire officials informed.
One kiosk was dealing with footwear while the other two sold masala products.
Fire fighters Shivaji Naik, Jayesh Kandolkar, Vishnu Rane, Shahid Khan, Swapnesh Kalangutkar and Akshay Sawant assisted in the fire fighting exercise.
Mapusa Fire Station in-charge, Bosco Ferrao also visited the site.
