St John the Baptist Church, Benaulim and Goa Dimensions have set up a 30-bedded Benaulim quarantine centre at the Parish hall on Thursday. The centre was blessed by St John the Baptist Church, Fr Lucio Dias in the presence of members of Goa Dimensions and local residents.
Fr Lucio later informed that the Benaulim quarantine centre has been set up given that local residents testing positive for Covid had no place to stay or isolate themselves. “Such people can come here and isolate themselves and take treatment.”
He said the centre will provide a host of facilities during the period when people quarantine themselves at the centre, including the facility of a doctor and nurse. Saying that the quarantine facility is free of charge and is open for all denominations of people, Fr Lucio said the centre has been set up especially for the poor.
