4 minor girls rescued from Baga beach

Calangute Police on Sunday night rescued four minor girls who were found wandering aimlessly on the Baga beach without any parent or guardian.
According to Calangute PI Jivba Dalvi, a drive to trace minor children wandering on the beaches alone late at night has been going on since the last two days.
After rescuing four minor boys recently, Calangute Police while patrolling found four minor girls wandering along the Baga beach at night.
Accordingly, help of NGO Scan-India was sought and the statements of the minor girls were recorded.
Police are yet to trace their parents. A medical examination of the minor girls was conducted.
Later, they were produced before a member of the Child Welfare Committee and after obtaining an order, they were admitted into Apna Ghar, Merces, for safe custody and protection.
"All the minor girls are in the age group of 11-16 years. The drive will continue to ensure safety of children in Calangute," informed PI Dalvi.
