4 West Bengal natives held for theft

The Calangute Police has arrested four West Bengal natives involved in a gold chain snatching case from a tourist from Karnataka, who was in Goa for a leisure trip.

According to the police, the four individuals- Morsalin Molla (20), Raju Molla (19), Akthar Ali (24) and Rakiful Mondal (19), all hailing from Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal- were involved in snatching of gold chain from the neck of a Karnataka tourist Santhosha HA.

According to the complainant, the accused persons initially snatched his OPPO Reno mobile phone and cash of Rs 19,000 and later snatched away his two gold chains which he was wearing in his neck all worth Rs 1,95,000.

Police said that all four accused persons admitted to have actively taken part in commission of the crime. Accordingly the stolen items, that is two gold chains, were attacked under the Panchanama and further investigation in respect of recovery of remaining stolen property is in progress.
