Bharatiya Janata Party has registered 4.6 lakh primary members in the membership drive it launched in the last one year.
“Almost 45 percent of voters in Goa have been converted into primary members of the BJP,” said Vinay Tendulkar, State President of BJP, while speaking at a news conference in Mapusa.
“We also conducted the Maha-Sampark Abhiyan in all the 40 constituencies,” he added.
He further informed that in 32 constituencies, around 4,500 Karyakatas took part in an overnight training programme conducted by the party.
Thereafter, the party appointed Samitis at various levels followed by the election of Mandals in all the constituencies.
District level committees for North Goa and South Goa were also elected.
Sukhaji Naik was appointed as the North Goa District president and along with a 49-member strong committee.
Other committee members are Vaidehi Naik, Rajsingh Rane, Deepak Kalangutkar and Shubhada Sawaikar (vice-presidents), Hemant Golatkar, Vasudev Parab and Guruprasad Pawaskar (general secretaries), Prasad Bhandare, Carmeline Franco, Dayanand Karbotkar and Pratiksha Mayekar (secretaries) Satish Madkaikar (treasurer) and 36 members.
