6 ore dumps auctioned in second e-auction

After a tepid response to the first e-auction of low-grade ore, the Directorate of Mines and Geology's second attempt has attracted bidders, with a total of six dumps getting auctioned so far.
The e-auction held on July 8 covered dumps located across Sanguem, Dharbandora and Bardez talukas. The highest premium of 51 per cent was quoted for Dump-4 at Costi in Sanguem, which was won by Sarus Infrastructure Pvt Ltd. The same company also secured Dump-3 at Costi, Sanguem, with a premium of 24.40 per cent.
Silvermist Retail Pvt Ltd emerged as the successful bidder for Dump-6 at Codli, Sanguem, quoting a premium of 42.10 per cent. Kai International bagged two dumps-Dump-13 at Shigao/Collem in Dharbandora with a premium of 22.10 per cent, and Dump-24 at Curpem, Sanguem, at 22.40 per cent. In Bardez, Satish Sugars Ltd won Dump-16 at Sircaim, quoting a premium of 25 per cent. 
In this phase, the DMG has put up almost 26 dumps-totalling 41.9 million tonnes. During the first phase held in February, Kai International was the sole successful bidder, securing a 14 million tonne dump in Dharbandora with a bid premium of 22.1 per cent, just above the reserve price of 22 per cent.
