AAP dares; Valmiki declares party will sweep 2017 in

Goa Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday not only accepted the open challenge thrown by Congress to win Panaji constituency, but went a step ahead with a confident declaration that it is all set to sweep the 2017 polls and annihilate the bigwigs in the BJP and the Congress.

PANAJI

Addressing the media in Panaji, AAP state secretary Valmiki Naik stated, “I thank the Congress for proclaiming me as AAP s Panaji candidate. If I contest from Panaji, this will be Panaji MLA Sidharth Kuncalienkar s first and last term.” Naik further made the lofty claim that AAP can take down bigwigs such as Laxmikant Parsekar in Mandrem to Subhash Phaldessai in Sanguem, and Vishwajit Rane in Valpoi to the Monserrates in Taleigao. Displaying astute political sixth sense, Naik countered Congress challenge by viewing it as the grand old party s admittance of defeat in meeting BJP head-on in the capital city. “Congress s inability to put up names in Panaji has forced them to suggest names to AAP in order to defeat the BJP in the capital city,” Naik opined. Meanwhile, AAP also informed that its signature campaign against the reinstatement of Chief Minister s brother-in-law and Goa Industrial Development Corporation field officer Ghanshyam Malvankar has garnered over 10,000 signatures. “AAP has also written to the PMO requesting the Centre to provide direction to Parsekar,” Naik stated.
