Aid to Mandrem family who lost house in fire

Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Sunday announced a relief of Rs 2 lakh from the Chief Minister's Fund and contributed Rs 50,000 to the family whose house was destroyed in a fire at Mandrem on Saturday.

It may be recalled that the house belonging to carpenter Pradeep Korgaonkar and Prakash Korgaonkar was completely destroyed in the fire, causing damages of Rs 10 lakh.

Chief Minister Parsekar visited the site and assured to repair the damaged house before the monsoons and land acquisition process will start soon to construct a proper road in the village. He has asked the people for co-operation in this regard.

Meanwhile, former union minister Ramakant Khalap also visited the site and announced to give financial assistance.
