Aldona girl receives gold medal in physics

MAPUSA:

Anushka Amarnath Panjikar from Corjuem, Aldona, has been awarded a Postgraduate degree in Physics (MSc) along with a Gold Medal during the 35th Convocation of Goa University. The ceremony was recently held at Shamaprasad Stadium, Bambolim.

The event was graced by ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somnath, Governor of Goa and Chancellor of Goa University P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, and Vice-Chancellor Harilal Menon, who conferred degrees to Anushka Panjikar and other graduates.

Anushka is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Government College, Sankhlim, and is also pursuing training at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Sancoale. Her academic excellence has been consistent, having previously received a gold medal upon graduating from St. Xavier's College, Mapusa.

She completed her SSC at St. Thomas Girls' High School, Aldona, with an impressive 96%, and scored 94% at St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, in her XII Standard exams. Anushka is the daughter of Amarnath Panjikar, a teacher at St. Thomas Higher Secondary, Aldona.
