The Deputy Sarpanch of Aquem Baixo Panchayat Amisha Amold Tilve was on Wednesday voted out of office following a no confidence motion against her.
The motion against the Deputy Sarpanch was tabled by six members and was carried by 5-0 votes. Tilve, the Sarpanch and two other members had abstained.
The signatories to the motion include Pooja Pramod Naik, Natasha Lourdes Dias, Milind Bhaskar Salunke, Ramdas Raghu Usgaonkar, Pradeep Prabhakar Acharya and Inacio Dias.
Incidentally, Usgaonkar, however, was conspicuous by his absence for the meeting on Wednesday.
The signatories had claimed that the Deputy Sarpanch did not take the members into confidence while taking decisions and acted in an authoritative and dictatorial manner. They further charged that the Tilve has been misusing her powers.
