The Archdiocese of Goa and Daman celebrated the Jubilee of Social Communications on October 12, 2025, with simultaneous media missions at Caranzalem and Dramapur parishes. A solemn Eucharistic celebration at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Caranzalem, was presided over by Auxiliary Bishop Most Rev. Simião Purificação Fernandes and coincided with the parish feast.
Organised by the Diocesan Centre for Social Communications Media (DCSCM) and Caranzalem Parish, the event included felicitation of Bishop Fernandes, clergy members, and Mrs Nita Fleming. In his homily, the Bishop said Mother Mary was a model of true communication — through words, deeds, thoughts, silence, and fellowship — urging the faithful to be messengers of hope.
The Jubilee concluded a ten-day media education programme in Caranzalem and Dramapur, highlighting that authentic communication, guided by faith and the Holy Spirit, remains vital in the digital age.
