Arguing on the bail application of the three accusedPP Poonam Bharne refuted the arguments levelled against the prosecution and the investigation by the defense. “Preliminary evidence will be lost if they are granted bail at this stage,” she said. She countered the defense argument against the registration of two consecutive FIRs, first on the basis of a complaint from the three accused stating that the offence was committed by an unknown person and second from Vilas Desai accusing Chetan Desai, Mulla and Phadke of the same offence.
