BBSM holds stir at Old Goa
AGASSAIM: Members of Bhartiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) staged a one-day token hunger strike near Gandhi statue at Old Goa.
“Local languages are in danger and it is a pity that we have to fight for our survival,” said Fr Mouzinho Athaide, under whose leadership the hunger strike was organised on Saturday.
As per the instruction of BBSM, token hunger strikes was staged at 18 places in the State on Revolution Day.
Suresh Dicholkar, Tulsidas Canconkar, Harishchandra Naik, Shashikant Fedte and other BBSM members took part in the agitation.
