Bhandari dares Speaker to prove 'wild allegations'

WAR OF ACCUSATIONS...

CANACONA

Stating that a lot is being said about him by Ramesh Tawadkar, Congress leader Janardhan Bhandari claims Canacona MLA and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar’s nervous reaction is a clear sign of his frustration after his illegalities stand exposed with the public.

"A lot is being said about me by Ramesh Tawadkar, after the issue pertaining to his illegalities was raised, which awakened the public and caused a wave of outrage towards him. As for the accusations,I humbly request the honorable speaker, Ramesh Tawadkar to please provide effective evidence to support the claims that are being made viral and if found guilty of committing any of the listed offenses I assure you I will face all the charges against me as held appropriate by the law.”

‘I will leave politics forever. Let Tawadkar prove even one of the wild allegations he had made against me in a press conference at Margao on Saturday”, said Bhandari reacting to Tawadkar’s allegations that Bhandari is involved in gambling, extortion, etc made at press conference which he addressed to clarify allegations of illegal tree felling.

In a pressnote, Bhandari said, "I have been working for the people and the place for the last 33 years, the locals from Canacona and that of Goa know me for the work I have done and they are very well aware of my capabilities. I do not need any character certificate from Ramesh Tawadkar to prove my innocence or whitewash the false accusations towards me. instead from all this, I’m sure I can give the people a better understanding of all the illegal activities being carried out in their very own region."

"I wish to ask Tawadkar, ‘Lastly, who took a commission from the Poly House scheme? Who is taking 3% commission from the PWD contractor? Who has deputed a person to take bribes from shack owners? I will expose these and many other things very soon. Let the people decide who is doing what type of politics to hoodwink the unsuspecting electorate,"  he added.

Meanwhile, another source stated that some of the videos in public domain of the recently exposed ‘Wood Scandal’  has proved beyond doubt that Tawadkar is involved in serious crimes of illegal trespassing in Wildlife Sanctuary, illegally cutting of protected forest trees in large numbers, illegal transportation of illegal woods from wildlife sanctuary to Carpentry unit, Forcefully opening the gate of forest department for illegal transportation of woods, pressurized Government staff  i.e. In-charge of Carpentry Centre to process illegal wood without any valid documents, Pressurized and forced forest staff to prepare fake documents to hide his illegality, and after processing woods to use it for construction of houses, all woods are illegally shifted from the carpentry unit to private property of Canacona MLA to destroy evidence.

"All evidences in the form of video recordings indicates complete involvement of Canacona MLA in this “Wood scandal”. Now people from different sections of society and leaders of various political parties/NGOs are demanding resignation of Canacona MLA and his arrest. The CM must seek immediate resignation of the Speaker of Goa Assembly and conduct a free fair probe in the matter to send a positive message to Goenkars that all are equal before the law," stated Vikas Bhagat.
