Sattari Taluka Farmers Cooperative Society, which is considered to be important for the farmers of taluka is hit by disagreement among board of directors in running of the society.
The administration of this organization was running smoothly for the last five years. But once again a
difference of opinion has arisen among the board of directors of the organization. A total of five out of nine directors of the institute have filed a no-confidence motion against the chairman of the society, Pandurang Gawas. Due to this, there is a possibility that the organization will once again find itself in the midst of controversy.
The elections to the society was held last year . This election was conducted from two divisions. Pandurang Gavas, Sagun Wadkar Pradeep Gavdanlkar, Anil Katkar Suranga Naik, Shahaji Desai, Narayan Gawkar were selected from Part No. 1 while Sitaram Desai &. Ganpat Gawkar was selected from part 2.
Later, an important meeting of the Board of Directors was concluded and in this meeting Pandurang Gawas was elected as the President unopposed and Sagun Wadkar as the Vice President. of the society.r The business were going on smoothly. This Board of Directors contributed significantly to the development of the organization. Various types of activities were implemented. This paved the way for the development of the society.
Five directors have issued a no-confidence notice against the chairman of the organization, Pandurang Gawas. It has been submitted to the Assistant Register of Bicholim Division. This notice has been signed by Director Pradeep Ganwadankar, Narayan Gawkar, Anil Katkar, Sitaram Desai and Ganpat Gawkar.
Meanwhile, according to the information received in this regard, it has been informed that a meeting of all the directors will be called soon to discuss and vote on the notice of no confidence announced by five directors.
In the meantime, efforts were made to contact the officials of the concerned cooperative socirty in this regard but to no avail. But according to the official information received in this regard, it is understood that a meeting will be called to discuss the no-confidence motion against the society president next week.
