VASCO
BJP Mandals of Vasco and Dabolim on Friday distributed E-Shram cards to members of the unorganised sector, to mark 8 years of governance by PM Narendra Modi.
The E-Shram cards were distributed by Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho in the presence of Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, Sancoale ZP Anita Thorat, Vasco BJP Mandal President Deepak Naik, Councillors Shami Salkar, Girish Borker and others at the Mangor Sports Club.
Speaking to reporters, Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho said E-Shram cards were given to members of the unorganised sector and migrant workers to offer them benefits.
"This programme is carried out for the urban poor and this card will help people to directly get the benefits of various central and state government schemes.”
“We have explained the benefits to people and for the first time, the unorganised sector will also get the benefit availed by other sectors. We have also seen how benefits of the Kissan card goes directly to farmers and this card will also have similar benefits from the central government," said Godinho.
Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar said the BJP wants to ensure that schemes and its benefits reach the lowest and the poorest sections in society.
“We have seen a huge presence of people and this just goes on to show that benefits of central government schemes reach to all people in the country and the money will be directly transferred to their accounts,” said Salkar.
