Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar stated the plans were to set a target of 27 MLAs for the upcoming assembly 2017 polls. Parsekar was speaking at the state executive committee meeting that was also attended by hundreds of block party members. He reiterated the party s confidence in delivering on all commitments made to the people of Goa in 2012. The party will therefore conduct meetings at block levels beginning April 20 that will last till May 5, following which booth samitis and associated groups, including women and youth, will undertake a door-to-door campaign. Among their notable achievements, BJP mentioned that they were able to discharge “primary expenditure responsibilities with strict financial prudence, and prioritize its expenditure in agriculture, social security, education, health, employment and infrastructural sectors.”
