The Bharatiya Janata Party will organise a Jan Sampark Abhiyan in a bid to tell the people that it has fulfilled 85% of its manifesto and to take to the people the achievements of its government over the last four years to the people.
Announcing this, the party president Vinay Tendulkar said that on Sunday March 13, the party’s workers will fan out across the State to meet more than 2.5 lakh people telling them about the party’s achievements which they have enlisted in pamphlets that they intend to distribute.
The list of achievements include several schemes, the infrastructure development and other development.
When asked about the failure to implement several crucial aspects of its promises including the removal of the casinos from the River Mandovi, failure to have an effective Lokayukta in the State, the mining scam, the regional plan, the party said that while most of the issues in the manifesto have been fulfilled, there was still a year left to complete the rest. “It doesn’t have to be that we complete 100% of our manifesto. We have completed 85% of what has been promised in our manifesto four years ago,” the party’s General Secretary Sadanand Shet Tanavade said.
Echoing his views, party president Vinay Tendulkar said that the government had still one year to go.
