The body of a 21-year-old youth was found on Uddo beach in Siolim on Saturday morning.
According to police, preliminary reports point out that the deceased, who is a native of Bihar, may have drowned.
Locals saw the body washed onto the shore at around 9 am at Uddo, a small beach in Siolim.
They immediately informed the Anjuna Police, who rushed to the site and took possession of the body.
After conducting the panchanama, the body was sent to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim for autopsy.
“The exact cause of death will be known only after we receive the autopsy report on Sunday,” a senior police officer informed.
Police sources informed that the deceased was working in a hotel in Anjuna, but he had quit the job one month ago.
Anjuna Police are investigating further.
