Fatorda police have registered a case of theft and mischief against two unidentified persons for allegedly targeting BSNL telecom infrastructure. The FIR was registered on a complaint by Sneha Gaonkar, Sub-Divisional Engineer, Margao and Fatorda group, BSNL.
According to the complaint, before September 11, two persons allegedly broke open the locks of BSNL pillar cabinets at the Fatorda stadium pillar and disconnected the wires. The accused also allegedly dismantled valuable tag blocks, disrupting essential telephone services for BSNL customers in the Fatorda area and causing loss and damage to public property.
A case has been registered under Sections 303(2), 324(2), 112 read with 3(5) of the BNS, Section 3 of the PDPP Act and Section 42(5) of the Telecommunications Act.
