Captain Neha Salkar to be feted

BICHOLIM: The All Goa Ex-military Soldiers Welfare Association will felicitate Captain Neha Salkar at Deendayal hall, Bicholim, on July 16, at 4 pm.

Speaker Anant Shet will preside over the function, while Bicholim MLA Naresh Sawal will be the guest of honour.

On the occasion, retired soldiers will deliver information to the youth and people about the working of Indian military services. President of Ex-soldiers Association Captain Dattaram Sawant and members Vaman Naik and Anil Bondre have called upon the people to attend the function.

Sesa gets nod to move ore

The Directorate of Mines and Geology has given Sesa Goa permission to move iron ore by road during monsoon provided it is for company’s own captive consumption at its pig iron plant at Amona.

the goan I networkPANAJI A spokesperson from Sesa Goa informed that the company has got the DMG’s permission to move iron ore through 200 trucks to Capxem and 400 trucks to Amona. The DMG has told the company that permission is being given because iron ore is required for domestic consumption of plant, which is in line with ‘Make in India’ campaign.
