Ameya Higher Secondary School at Curti recently organised a 'Career Day' programme for their students, wherein the pupils were counselled on how to make a career choice.
Lecturer Sonam Gondalekar, speaking on the occasion, highlighted various aspects on how to choose a career. “One should know their capabilities and interests while choosing a career,” she emphasised.
According to her, the phase after passing SSC is very important, which helps to choose the field in which one wants to make career.
“You should also consider the marks you have secured in SSC and upon that you can think of the next stream. But choose the field where your interest lies,” she stressed.
She said that there are many vocational courses too, from which students can make a career choice.
Principal Flavia Colaco, lecturer Subhash Jan, librarian Menaka Hazare and others were present on the occasion. Jan and Colaco also spoke on the occasion and guidance was given them to their students.
