A cargo truck at the side of the road in the Pissurlem Industrial Estate caught fire on Tuesday morning, leading to a damage of Rs 5 lakh.
However, due to the prompt action by the fire brigade, property worth Rs 15 lakh was saved.
Notably, the crew manning the truck was missing from the spot when the fire brigade arrived to deal with the fire.
Locals have raised doubts over the nature of the cargo being transported by the truck due to the missing driver and the cleaner.
The police later arrived and conducted a panchnama at the site. Further investigations are underway.
