Chairman of Goa Citizens Welfare Trust (CWT) and Dadleancho Ekvotto Michael T Ferns on Sunday released the musical CD 'Carnival 2016' by Agnelo D’Costa.
Speaking on the occasion, Ferns said the proceeds from the sale of CD will be utilised to construct public toilets in remote villages in Goa and to the benefit of senior citizens and under privileged section of the society.
“The CWT has already undertaken construction of public toilets at Dabal, where about 1500 families are staying without toilets and the women and men use open spaces in the jungle,” he said.
“This is the first step to provide security and safety to the women and in course of time, CWT will construct public toilets in needed areas of other villages,” said Ferns.
Speaking about the CD, Ferns said Agnelo D’Costa visited him at his office to showcase his talent which impressed him and later decided to help D’Costa to produce his musical CD. “This is the first musical CD that CWT has promoted and in future we will help other artistes to promote their talent,” added said Ferns.
Agnelo D’Costa said it was his long cherished dream to come out with a Carnival musical CD which is finally fulfilled by Ferns.
D’Costa has requested people to buy the CD, the proceeds of which will go to a noble cause of construction of public toilets and help senior citizens and under privileged section of the society.
