In a bid to send out a strong message to people, Vasco police on Thursday arrested three persons on charges of assaulting a mentally disturbed person at Khariwaddo-Vasco.
The three persons, Saudagar Rain (25), Basvraj Rathod (32) and Anwar Kaliger (26), were arrested under Sections 143, 147, 324 read with 149 IPC and Sec 92 (b) of Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act.
Vasco PI Kapil Nayak told reporters that the accused persons formed an unlawfully assembly and further assaulted the mentally unsound person.
Vasco PI Kapil Nayak has warned people not to take law in their hands.
“Catch criminals, but don’t take law in one’s hand. People must hand over criminals to the police station for further action,” said PI Nayak.
