CM insensitive on KFD: Rane
VALPOI: Valpoi MLA and former health minister Vishwajeet Rane has criticised Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar for his insensitive statements on the Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD) cases in Sattari taluka.
“The chief minister had recently stated that the two persons who died in Sattari were not due to KFD, but due to old age. These statements are insensitive and I condemn them,” said Rane, while speaking to the media.
“The government is irresponsible and insensitive on KFD cases in Sattari taluka. The government has totally failed to take care of the health of its people. The injections/vaccination for KFD are yet to be supplied by the government, although the health minister had promised the people that he would supply them soon,” he added.
“The number of KFD cases has touched 100 and if the government takes people of Sattari for granted and does not handle the situation of KFD cases in Sattari, we will be forced to agitate on the streets,” warned Rane.
