Shet to inaugurate projects worth Rs 25 crore today

The foundation stone for development work of Rs 25 crore and the inauguration of completed projects in Mayem constituency will be carried out on February 29 and March 1, to mark the birthday celebrations of Speaker Anant Shet.
This was informed by members of the birthday celebration organising committee, during a news conference in Bicholim.
The day-long event will start at 7.30 am, with a marathon race for high school students and in the open category from Poira bridge to Mayem.
Other programmes scheduled on the day include a blood donation camp at the residence of Anant Shet at Kumbharwada, Mayem, distribution of fruits and sweets to special children at Keshav Sewa Sadhana school at Bicholim, foundation stone laying ceremony of Hindle-Khazan bandhara, inaugural ceremony of Bandoni Makazan and Kariche Khazan at Chorao Madel, foundation stone laying ceremony of the market project at Chorao Madel, inaugural ceremony of the sports ground at Chorao, inauguration of PHC at Kelbaiwada-Mayem and inauguration of underground electricity cables at Ardhawada-Mayem.
A bus shed near the Chorao ferry point will also be inaugurated, followed by inauguration of the beautified lake at Dhawaskarwada Sarvan, hot-mixing work at Paltadwada Maulinguem and the inaugural ceremony of the beautified temple premises of Devkikrishna Pisso Ravalnath at Mayem.
Shet will be available at his residence in Kumbharwada-Mayem after 5 pm to meet his well-wishers.
