Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo on Thursday welcomed Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s action to suspend two engineers in connection with the poor condition of the Sankhali-Chorla road.
“Engineers will now have to work with full responsibility,” said Lobo, after inaugurating the work to hotmix a 3.5 km stretch of road at Marna-Siolim at an estimated cost of Rs 96 lakh.
Siolim Sarpanch Sharmila Vernekar, Deputy Sarpanch William Fernandes and Panch Maheshwar Govekar were present.
Meanwhile, Lobo also inaugurated the work to hotmix an 8-km stretch of road in Anjuna.
