Congress leader and ex-Curtorim Zilla Panchayat member, Moreno Rebello on Monday invited the Curtorim unit of Revolutionary Goans to join hands and work together to checkmate Independent MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco.
Moreno was speaking to the media on the sidelines of a function organised by Curtorim ZP member Michele Rebello to provide a mobile morgue for the constituents of Curtorim ZP constituency comprising the villages of Curtorim, Sao Jose de Areal and Macazana.
The Congress leader told the media that Congress and the RG should come and work together in order to defeat Reginaldo. Citing an instance of how the candidate fielded by MLA Reginalo won the Panchayat election due to division of votes amongst the candidates fielded by the Congress and RG, Moreno gave an open call to the RG unit in Curtorim to join hands and work together to defeat the independent MLA.
Meanwhile, the morgue provided by Curtorim ZP member Michele Rebelo to the Curtorim ZP constituency was blessed and inaugurated on Monday in the presence of Macazana Sarpanch Agnelo D’Costa, Sao Jose de Areal Sarpanch Linda Fernandes and ex-Curtorim Sarpanch Milagres Rodrigues.
Michele told the media that she has fulfilled her mission of providing a mobile morgue which will go a long way in meeting the requirements of the constituents of Curtorim.
