Congress MLAs have decided to boycott the two-day training session which starts from today (Monday).
The decision to boycott the session came on the intervention of the Congress High Command which has directed its MLAs to abstain from the training programme.
Congress sources informed that the party has decided to take a principled stand against wasteful expenditure.
The training session for MLAs is organised by Goa Legislature Secretariat in association with a five-star resort.
Sources have also said that the agency “ Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini “ chosen to impart the training is a propaganda agency of the BJP.
The MLAs were also informed that Congress would soon arrange for a training session for its MLAs.
The Goa Legislative Assembly had scheduled a training programme for the first-time MLAs since 19 out of 40 MLAs are first-timers in the Assembly.
Pune-based Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini is a non-profit learning and research organisation for government leadership aspirants and current government leaders.
