Cops nab accused wanted in two 2002 murders

After absconding for 20 long years, a murder accused has finally landed in the dragnet of the Cuncolim police.
Acting on an intelligence report, Cuncolim police nabbed accused Raghu Panipuri from Bengalaru on Tuesday.
Cuncolim police station in-charge PI Tukaram Chawan informed that the accused was wanted in connection with the 2002 murder of deceased Sunil D Phadte, age-28 yrs r/o HNo 147, Rambhavan Wadda, Ribandar and in a robbery cum murder of deceased Mushtak Khan age- 28 yrs r/o Borda, Margao.
Two murders were reported in 2002 at the Cuncolim PS in which accused Raghu was absconding arrest and not traceable.
After his arrest, the accused has been brought to the police station and is being produced before the Court.
PI Chawan informed that a total of five accused persons Abdul Rahim, Abdul Mujaheed, Mohammad Yasin Khan, Raghu Bairojirad and Arun Kumar all r/o Bengaluru, Karnataka were charged in the murder.
The four accused persons arrested by the police earlier have since been acquitted by the court.
