In continuation with the drive of rescuing minor children wandering on beaches, Calangute Police on Sunday rescued one minor girl from Calangute beach.
On receiving information that a minor girl was roaming on the beach all by herself, a police official went to the beach and rescued the 9-year-old girl.
Since she had no parent or guardian along with her, police recorded her statement along with the assistance of NGO Scan-India.
Further, after medical examination she was produced before the Child Welfare Committee member and lodged in Apna Ghar.
Efforts are being made to trace the parents of the minor girl, police said.
