Theft at Seraulim
MARGAO: Unidentified persons effected entry into a house and decamped with goods worth Rs 36,0000.
According to Colva police, the incident occurred on April 24, sometime around midnight when unidentified persons broke open the kitchen door of the complainant, one Rajendra, and made good their escape with gold ornaments, two watches, torch, cash amount of Rs 2,500, all together worth Rs 36,000.
Colva police have registered an offence under Section 380 of IPC.
65-year-old lady threatened
MARGAO: Acting on the complainant lodged by a 65-year-old lady, the Colva police have registered an offence for allegedly abusing the victim with filthy words thereby outraging her modesty and threatening her.
According to Colva police, the incident occurred on April 24, when the complainant claimed that two individuals, both residents of Varca, allegedly abused her in filthy language, thereby outraging her modesty and also threatened her.
Thereafter, the duo, along with four others, formed an unlawful assembly and in furtherance of their common object, forcibly stopped the truck engaged by the complainant from emptying the sand brought for complainant to her house for repair and chased the driver off.
Colva police have registered an offence under Sections 509, 506, 143 r/w 149 of IPC. Further investigations are in progress.
