The Fatorda police are trying to find out whether any dispute relating to the payment of wages between the three accused and deceased Minguel Miranda the reason behind the gruesome double murder case.

Superintendent of Police, South Pankaj Kumar Singh declined to outline the motive behind the murder, saying the exact motive will be known after the three accused persons are brought to Goa.

Police sources said they will try to find out whether the trio were demanding the payment of their wages after having being employed by the deceased around a fortnight ago.

“We are trying to find out whether the accused and the deceased had any dispute over the payment of wages,” police said.

“We will also find out what precipitated the matter between the accused and the deceased on the fateful Monday morning. We have gathered information that the trio were drafted for work at Loutolim by the deceased contractor. Since the workers leave for work early morning, they were believed to have cooked rice to have their meal before moving out for work,” he said.

This is one question the Goa police will try to find out what happened between the trio and the deceased on Monday morning before the accused could go out for work. “Let the Goa police team bring the accused to Goa and all these questions will be answered in a day or two,” remarked a senior police officer.
