Elocution contest held at Siolim
PANAJI: The Consumer Club of St Francis Xavier Higher Secondary School, Siolim, organized a minute-to-win-it elocution competition for the students of Std XI, in which 15 students participated. The topics were - Rights of a consumer, Duties and responsibilities of a consumer and Need for consumer protection in India.
Anuvi Salgaonkar (XI comm) Janet Borges (XI comm) and Maria D'Souza (XI arts) wonthe first three prizes respectively. All the participants were awarded certificates and consolation prizes .
The jury comprised of MT Linson, Merle Braganza and Celine D’Sousa. Principal Fr Santow John spoke on the occasion. Sandhya Fernandes coordinated the functionand teacher David Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks.
