A day after the uproar at Colva village culminated in the demolition of a retaining wall, the Colva police is verifying a complaint lodged by the property owner against the persons responsible behind the wall demolition.
Colva police station in-charge PI Filomena Costa has confirmed to The Goan that the police has received a complaint from the property owner against some persons who were responsible for the demolition of the retaining wall.
‘The police is investigating into the complaint lodged by the property owner. We are verifying the claim made by the owner’, PI Costa said.
To a query, PI Costa said the police will register an FIR once the persons behind the incident are identified.
Colva had witnessed an uproar on Saturday after villagers assembled outside the property, alleging that land filling was going inside the property when the TCP had issued a stop with order and show cause notice on the owner, before the situation went out of control resulting in the demolition of the retaining wall.
