Fertilizers given to farmers
PONDA: The Priol Pragati Manch (PPM) distributed organic fertilizers to over 70 farmers of Priol constituency.
The fertilizers was distributed at a programme organised by PPM convenor Govind Gaude at Veling-Mardol. The programme was organised in association with Trishur Shetkari Sanghatana (TSS). Nutan Jalmi of TSS, secretary Durgadas Gaude, PPM Priol chief Shivram Naik, Rahul Korde and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Govind Gaude stressed on the use of organic fertilizers and the need to spread awareness about organic farming among the farmers through programmes and workshops.
Rahul Korde also emphasised the importance of soil testing to ensure better cultivation and farmers. “Some farmers ignore this very important task. There are government officials to help you in soil testing,” he informed the farmers.
