Fire and Emergency Services Dy Director Nitin V. Raikar highlighted basic fire safety and various safety techniques to save lives and property during any fire or emergency
incidents.
Raikar was addressing a gathering during a live presentation of basic fire safety and various techniques to employees of Navodaya Leadership Institute, Canacona to save and properties during fire and other emergencies by South Goa Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services
(DFES).
Station Fire Officer, Canacona Ravindranath V Pednekar spoke on the various techniques operators of fire extinguisher during first aid operations in fire incidents.
Live fire fighting demonstration was conducted while an educational van was displayed to the participants of Navodaya Leadership Institute where about 60 caretakers of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya from Pune and Gujarat are undergoing training.
Earlier Dy Commissioner Ratan Lal Mali while expressing his views informed that NLI Goa trains employees of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti working in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas all over the
country.
NLI Goa Principal Madhuri Uday Shankar while proposing the vote of thanks, said that the training on fire safety and emergency services will be fruitful to the children /students as these employees are caretakers in various JNVs.
Dy. Commissioner Lal Mali later felicitated DFES, South Goa Dy Director
Nitin V. Raikar for the safety services provided to
society.
