Around 180 people from Borda and neighbouring areas availed benefits at the free medical camp organised by Aster Hospital, Margao in association with Margao Municipal Ward No 10 Councilor Glen Andrade at the Holy Spirit School, Margao on Sunday.  

 The camp was led by Dr Sujoy Das, general surgeon and Dr Vishal Gude, both Directors of Aster hospital. Dr Judith Da Costa Das, Dr Anupama Vernekar, Dr Neil Barretto, Dr Sudhir Shet and other doctors attended the camp.  

People were screened for pressure and sugar levels and were given advice on ailments relating to orthopedics, surgery, etc.  

 Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, who inaugurated the medical camp, complimented ward Councilor Glen Andrade for his initiative in organizing the medical camp. 

Sardesai pointed out that Glen had in the past taken initiatives in ward No 10 to tackle the garbage issue, while saying the free health camp will help in ensuring people fit and healthy.  

 Glen thanked the doctors, who attended the camp, including Dr Sujoy Das and Holy Spirit Church for making available the premises to hold the medical camp.
