Anjuna police on Thursday seized 5 kgs of ganja near the Baga-Aropra bridge on Thursday midnight. Two persons have been arrested in this connection.
The police had received information about a drug deal near the bridge and a team led by Police Inspector Suraj Gawas set a trap.
When the two accused, Rasidul Mondal (29) and Laijur Molla (26), both natives of West Bengal but residing at Agarwada-Calangute, arrived on a two-wheeler, the police nabbed them and during an inspection, reportedly found the drugs in their scooter. Police are investigating.
