The Government of Goa effected a reshuffle of bureaucracy with several Heads of Departments shifted around.
Significant among the changes, Vinesh Arlenkar, presently posted as the secretary of State Police Complaints Authority has been appointed as the Director of Fisheries.
Arlenkar relieves Govind Jaiswal who doubled up as both the secretary and director of fisheries after the Fisheries minister Vinoda Paliencar abruptly had then director of fisheries Shamila Monteiro removed.
Other changes include the transfer of Sandhya Kamat presently the Director of Panchayats to the post of the Managing Director of the Goa State ST Finance Corporation.
In her place, Ajit Panchwadkar, the Managing Director of the Goa State ST Finance Corporation has been appointed.
So too, Surendra Naik the Additional Director of Panchayats has been posted as the Additional Collector of North Goa relieving Vikas Gaunekar of additional charge.
Damodar Shanke, the deputy controller of Civil Defence has been appointed the Director of Printing and Stationery, while Narayan Prabhudesai the Superintendent of Central Jail and holding the charge as the custodian of evacuee property has been appointed the Deputy Controller of Civil Defence with his existing additional charge as the Custodian of Evacuee property.
Shyamsundar Parab, the Director of NRI affairs will take charge as the Superintendent of Central Jail while continuing to hold the charge as director of NRI affairs.
