Govt plans to set up eco-tourism centres in Sattari
Parulekar instructs officials to submit feasibility report

Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar on Wednesday visited few villages in Sattari taluka to check important spots which have touristic importance and assured to set up eco tourism centres at these spots.
Parulekar visited Nanora, Bambar, Satre, Utse and Bhramakarmali in Nagargao Panchayat with an intention to set up eco tourism centres at these places. He instructed the officials concerned to submit feasibility report to him on all the selected places or spots, where domestic and foreign tourists could get benefit if eco tourism centres are set up.
The minister indicated that the existing helipad at Nanora could be used for the benefit of the tourists besides, making arrangement for white water sporting spot at Utse and beautification of unused government quarters at Nanora.
Local BJP leaders Satyavijay Naik, Demu Gaonkar and Bablo Gaonkar have appealed to Parulekar to set up eco tourism centres in Sattari soon so that the local youth will get employment opportunity.
Former Nagargao sarpanch Vaman Rao Dessai, deputy sarpanch Rama Kharwat and social activist Milind Gadgil accompanied the minister during his visit.
