The government on Monday decided to create two New Police Districts, Mapusa and Ponda for the State.
“In a major decision, Govt of Goa has decided to create two New Police Districts, namely Mapusa and Ponda. Hence, there will now be a total of 4 police districts with 4 district SPs. This decision will enable better & effective control over law and order, and prevention of crime,” stated a tweet by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
